About us

The Jast Company team includes a diverse group of experienced gift and toy manufacturing and design professionals based in China, Hong Kong and Europe. The entire manufacturing team is dedicated to delivering high-end quality products down to the last detail.

Founded in 1995 by Steve Jen Lin Chen, Jast manufacturing facilities were expanded in 1996 to include over 100,000 square feet and an export office shipping globally throughout Hong Kong. As Jast's ODM/OEM client list continues to grow, Jast has developed long-term relationships with many sound products manufacturers and importers whose designs are sold in the USA, Europe, Japan and Australia. TUV ISO-9001 has been granted to JAST since 1996.

Starting in 2003, Jast has invested vigorously in R&D and has invented 12 products for patent applications. As of now, there are five patents that have been officially granted, and the rest are pending patent office approval. These products have been launched into the market for mass production.

Our team includes college-educated product managers and engineers working to develop custom products incorporating all client specifications. Product managers interact daily with clients all over the world. Our factory uses state of the art sample-making and manufacturing equipment and follows stringent manufacturing and safety guidelines.

Jast loves and lives its own definition of the word TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.

Our Management Team

JAST Company Management Background: Decades of electronic, paper product, plastic product, plush toy, and sewn goods manufacturing experience.

President and Managing Director Steve Chen received his master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from San Jose State University and his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering from Feng-Chia University, Taiwan. After pursuing his doctorate at the University of Santa Clara, he joined NASA Ames Research Center as a senior software engineer. After working at NASA, Steve worked at the IBM Corporation as a development team leader. Ultimately returning to Asia, Steve launched his own company designing and manufacturing computer peripherals. By chance, his technical expertise led to a working partnership with Gibson Greetings for the creation of the popular Silly Slammers sound plush line – the first in a long series of successful "high tech, soft touch" plush toy products produced by JAST.

Vice President Justine Xiang has been with JAST since day one in 1995. Justine is responsible for analysis, research, strategy, and product development.
